Domestic Violence Awareness Week 2009

In 2009, Prevail was honored to host Richard Propes on his 20th annual Tenderness Tour, a wheelchair ride across Indiana that aims to raise awareness and money for the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and other charities.

Propes was in Noblesville to speak about the Tour and Noblesville Mayor, John Ditslear and Sheriff Doug Carter were on hand to proclaim October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. A remembrance ceremony for the 49 lives lost as a result of domestic violence in Indiana last year was also held. Music was provided by Patchwork, one of the 19 groups featured on the Give a Girl a Chance CD released as part of the Tenderness Tour.
